AI Explained Plainly

AI for working professionals

Somebody told you to "use AI." Then nobody showed you how. That's the gap this track is for.

Each week I pick one ordinary task, the kind you already do on a Tuesday afternoon, and walk through it step by step. You get a prompt you can copy, and you get told straight how long it takes and what it costs.

What's in every workflow

It starts with the job we're trying to get done. Then the numbers: time and cost, each one labeled measured (we timed it in a test run), estimated (our best guess, and we say so), or vendor-published (straight from the vendor's own page).

After that come the steps and a copy-paste prompt. You don't need any special prompt skills. And every workflow ends with what not to paste, because the privacy line is different for each task.

Start here

  1. Do the 10-minute safety setup. It turns off "use my chats for training" in whichever assistant you use.
  2. Try the messy notes workflow on your next three meetings.
  3. If your employer gives you an approved AI tool, use that one for work. Your company's policy always beats anything we say here.
